Dundj Valley Parking Area

This is the safest and clearest place to start your visit. From here, our team will help you prepare for the short walk and boat access.

Motorbikes and bicycles can park nearby.
If you come by car or taxi, please message us in advance so we can guide you to the correct drop-off point.

Important note: Dundj Valley is not directly accessible by car. The final part of the journey must be done on foot and by boat.

From the parking area, you will walk about 300 meters along a narrow stone pathway at the foot of the limestone mountain.

This short walk is part of the experience.

You will pass a quiet local path, away from the main tourist routes of Tam Coc. There are no big signs, no crowds, and no busy entrance gate.

This is where you begin to leave the tourist area behind.

The path is usually simple to walk, but after rain it can become wet or muddy. We recommend comfortable shoes or sandals that can get a little dirty.

At the end of the stone pathway, you will reach the boat dock.

From here, you take a small local boat into Dundj Cave.

The light slowly fades.
The temperature drops.
The sound becomes quieter.
Then, the valley opens in front of you.

This is the only way into Dundj Valley.

There is no road access into the valley, and this is one of the reasons the place remains peaceful and protected.

Once you arrive, Dundj Valley feels completely different from Tam Coc.

There are no tour buses.
No fixed tourist route.
No staged performance.

Instead, you will find a quiet family valley surrounded by limestone mountains, water, animals, gardens, and simple countryside life.

Depending on your experience, you may:

• Relax by the valley

• Walk through quiet nature paths

• Feed ducks, chickens, pigs, or buffalo

• Join a local family meal

• Explore farm life with the host family

• Take a more adventurous hike if you booked the hiking option

Dundj Valley is best for travelers who want a slower, more personal side of Ninh Binh.

Cars cannot drive directly into Dundj Valley.

The valley is hidden behind the limestone mountain and can only be reached by boat through the cave.

If you come by car or taxi, you should go to the meeting area first, then our team will guide you from there.

Please do not ask a taxi driver to enter the valley directly. There is no road for cars into Dundj Valley.

We recommend bringing:

• Comfortable walking shoes or sandals

• Clothes that can get a little dusty or muddy

• Mosquito repellent

• A raincoat during rainy season

• Extra clothes if you join water or farm activities

• A phone with battery for photos and directions

You do not need special equipment for the soft valley visit.

Dundj Valley can still be beautiful when it rains, but the path may become wet or muddy.

If the weather is not suitable, we may adjust the experience for safety and comfort.

Please message us before coming if it has rained heavily or if you are unsure about the weather.

Rain does not always stop the experience, but it does change what you should wear and expect.
