You can also enjoy the experience later. Guests arriving around 4:00–5:00 PM can still have a family meal, making Dundj an option after a day of sightseeing or exploring the countryside.

Usual opening hours are 9:00 AM–5:00 PM. For an arrival near closing time, contact the team beforehand to arrange your meal and return boat journey.

Allow around 2–3 hours for the experience, plus travel from your accommodation, and agree on the timing when booking.

For travellers spending two or more days in Ninh Binh, Dundj fits into a slower part of the trip. You might cycle through villages before lunch, visit Bich Dong Pagoda earlier in the day, or come later for a meal and time with the local family.

You can arrive by bicycle, scooter or taxi. Park your bicycle or scooter, then continue on foot to the boat. Wear comfortable shoes for the pathway, and contact the team in advance if anyone needs assistance with walking or boarding.

Dundj has its own boat journey through Dundj Cave, separate from the Tam Coc sightseeing boat route. Your meal is served on land inside the valley.
